The MAW is Mindfuling at Weekend, a compilation of the previous week's releases with a little nip and addition. Writing this I am reminded of a favorite quote from the Great Zen Master in middle ages Japan: Flowers fall with our attachment, weeds spring up with our aversion.
When we practice skillfully we can see the beauty of the flower, allow its coming and going easily, not growing angry when the inevitable falling petal hits our mind.

Walking Meditation is a very important practice. Start simply and comfortably. So many benefits but each step matters and building awareness of walking can be very tricky. Walking activates the mind and it is the mind we are training when we walk along with the body, which of course includes the beating heart.

A 4' 33" sound meditation. With a dog named Moxie. In a vehicle. Wicked windy outside and the surf is churning about a hundred feet away. All these words are not the point of listening. They actually come after the experience. So quick we are to add to what is experienced. Keep it real, keep it raw.

So you get sick, we all do, and you take a vacay from formal practice. Of course. Or of course not. Practiciing while sick is great. (However, practicing with others when you are a huffing contaminant, that's a different story.) This podcast can be great for practicing whilst not feeling so great.
